Food foodie with Rakshee

RAKSHEE
Famous for their beefball.
Wonderful, comfortable, modern~
Enjoy Rakshee in a fashionable way~  Decor & atmosphere is soothing and comfortable not going to lie xD. Good place to hang and take selfies.

A little information about Rakshee.
Rakshee has 2 meanings and it is derived from an informal Arabic language means joyful and relaxation. Basically, the concept is to bring joy and relaxation to the customers. Their special or signature dish is the Bakso and Bakso is a kind of meatball made from beef that commonly found in Indonesia street food.
What makes Bakso different than just a typical beefball? Well, Bakso is actually made from lean meats rather than fats. Hence, you won't feel that much guilty for gobbling down bunch of these deeeelishhh beefball. Oh, and the oil they use is purely olive oil. No worries. XD.

Seats are not limited to just indoors. There are outdoor seat as well and the decoration outside is nice (sadly my bad for not taking pictures outside, too focus on eating haha).

These 3 drinks shown in picture above, isn't the only drinks they serve but these are the special drinks on the menu. (Left) Tehbotol is a type of tea drink. It's sweet and fragrant. For those who loves tea smelling drink, recommend to order this drink ;). (Middle) second drink is called fruit tea, as what it is labeled as, taste-like apple juice. And the last bottle, TEBS! I love this drink. I highly recommend whomever felt like drinking some fizzy, carbonated drink, order this. It taste like apple cider. I ordered like 2 bottles of this. Can't get enough. Wanted to order another but save my stomach for the food haha.

TADAA~~~ first dish, the famous, Bakso. Is a soup noodle dish with 2 beefballs.
The sauces are added in for flavor, that's how this dish is to be eaten basically. First, green chili, then chili sauce. If you want your dish to be a little hint of sourness, add the lime juice, and for soy taste, add the soy sauce but mainly the chili sauces. For me, I added the lime juice only as I'm not really capable of consuming spicy food lol. The taste of the beefball was good.

The second one, Baked Pasta Marinara.

This pasta, omg, I love the cheese taste mixed with the marinara, who doesn't love cheese am I right? (Unless you're lactose intolerant). Although, I have to admit the sauce was slightly too sweet for my taste. But, it was really good, no joke. And again, there are beefball in the dish. What's a pasta dish without meat right xD.

Look at that cheese streeeeetchhhhh~~~

The Mini burger, with the beefball as the meat burger. I love how this taste because of their black pepper sauce which suits the taste of the beefball with the cheese and mini buns. YUMMM~  and the French fries, never go wrong with French fries as sides.

The next dish, toasted French bread with their special sauce, one was Baked Beefball Marinara (there's cheese) and the other is Swedish Beefball~ (hope I didn't mistaken the dish name). Toasted French bread, crunchy, buttery, dipping in marinara or Swedish beefball sauce (don't forget the beefball)? 😍 *drooool* deeeliciousssss. You can choose either a salty sauce or the sweet sauce. For me, both tasted great.

Spicy Thai linguine (of course there's beefball in there). Not criticizing the dish, is just not my cup of tea because it was spicy. But, if you guys love spicy food, try it~ no harm in trying food ~

I've been waiting to introduce this dish and I can tell you, out of all the dish, this is my favvvv. Bakso Nugget! I know it's beefball but because of the crust has nice crunchy breaking to it, plus the sauce, I love the cheese sauce of course, awesomeness. If you want to just hang out, have some snacks, chit chat, recommend to order this dish. For your information, this dish is still new. Will be place into the menu really soon! Make sure to try some ;).

I'm sure some of you could guess what dish is that ...
...
Nope, not steak or beef.
..
.

Yeap, laaaamb.
Another new menu~ Rakshee Grill Lamb~ the lamb portion is huge. If you are not those big eater type, better share this lamb lamb haha. I love lamb, but the only set back on this dish is to marinate in a less sweeter sauce or improve the sauce. I believe they can do it. It is still new, there is always room for improvement. I'll definitely will order that when I visit Rakshee again.

New Menu~
Rakshee Frittata ~
I can honestly tell you that this is my first time trying Frittata. And it's definitely in my list of food whenever I see that in any menu XD. Hahaha. Sorry for exaggerating, but for a new menu, it's not bad. Give it a try ~

New Menu~
Rakshee Soto Bakso.

This dish shown above is a lagsania (or lagsana?) lol. First time having lagsana with beefball inside. Usually the lagsana I eat is those with layers of pasta dough with chicken and sauce and cheese. So this is something new that I've tasted. It's not bad really. I'll definitely order this again. The sauce is like those marinara sauce. But because the cheese had masked the sweetness of the sauce, it was good ~

The last dish above is different one. It's a breakfast dish apparently. Is an aglio olio pasta dish with beefballs. I don't really like aglio olio, but this dish, no rejecting from me. Surprisingly, I don't mind eating this again. :D

And lastly, the person in charge, the manager of Rakshee. Mr. Syed Hassan Alhabshee aka Mr. Hassan. He is really friendly, easy to chat with, always smiles and care about his customers. He explain how Rakshee been operating close to a year by young entrepreneurs of different background. One of the founders owns a Bakso factory in Penang for more than 13 years then decided to bring this Indonesian street food to another level. The cafe has been attracting different kind of patrons from the west Malaysia, Indonesia and even Singapore. Rakshee mission is to educate people about the new way of eating Bakso.
Interesting isn't it? To show the modern world new ways to eat a traditional food called Bakso.
Lastly, we asked, what is Mr. Hassan's favourite dish and he chose, of course, Bakso, and the new menu, Rakshee Grill Lamb. So don't forget to try them XD.

More exciting menu will be added along the way with promotion! Do follow their Instagram for more Bakso greatness~ ;)
